1. What doora is

doora is a free service that lets you claim a memorable handle likeyou@home tied to a precise location, and share that handle so anyone with the link can open the address in their preferred map app.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method (phone, email, or Google account) secure.
One person, one set of handles. Don't register on behalf of someone else without their consent.
If you suspect unauthorised access, deactivate from /me/account and contact us.

3. What you can claim

You may only claim handles and labels you have a legitimate reason to claim - typically your own home, workplace, or somewhere you have permission to publish a location for.

Don't claim addresses you don't have a connection to.
Don't impersonate other people, brands, or institutions.
Don't use the notes field to host abusive, harassing, deceptive, or illegal content.
The reserved-names list (celebrities, brands, route conflicts) is enforced server-side. Some names can be pre-assigned to a specific identity; an admin can do that for you on request.

4. Content you publish

Anything you mark public on your handle page (building, floor, unit, notes) is visible to anyone with the link. Each field has its own visibility flag; the default is shown on the claim page and editable from /me/handles.

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant doora a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on your public handle page and in shareable previews (OpenGraph image, share-link metadata) for the purpose of operating the service. This licence ends when you delete the handle.

5. Acceptable use

Don't scrape the public handle pages at high volume - be a polite citizen.
Don't attempt to bypass the rate limits or reserved-name gates.
Don't reverse-engineer doora to build a competing service that violates these terms.
Don't use doora to facilitate stalking, harassment, or location-based harm.

6. Service availability

doora is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not promise it. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Material changes will be surfaced on /me where possible.

7. Termination

You can deactivate or delete your account from /me/account at any time. Deletion is irreversible from your side but data is archived for audit; see privacy.
We may suspend or remove handles that violate these terms. We'll tell you when we do, unless a legal duty requires otherwise.

8. Liability

doora is a free, best-effort service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and we won't be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of doora.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.

10. Changes

We'll post material changes here with a revised "last reviewed" date. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance.
